Mausolée Letenneur

Constructed in the village in which Letenneur was born (« La Rousserie »), this unique monument stands 30 metres high and its unique role as a tomb and « château fort » is intriguing to visitors. The crypt holds the tomb of Auguste Letenneur, his wife and two of their children. On the first floor is a dining room, a terrace and the entrance to the tower from where there are magnificent views of the surrounding area. In a nearby meadow is the « Fountain of Virginity » which Letenneur built himself.
