Le Point du Jour is both an art center and a publishing house, focused on photography. Housed in a contemporary architectural building, entirely covered in aluminum, designed by Éric Lapierre and presented at the Venice Architecture Biennale, Le Point du Jour is located near Cherbourg's public garden, at the foot of the Roule mountain, 5 minutes walk from the train station.
The exhibitions present current artists, through recent series or a review of their work, as well as great photographers of the 20th century. Visits, meetings and screenings are regularly offered.
Le Point du Jour is labeled as a contemporary art center of national interest.
