From the atom to electricity generation: EDF Flamanville. Nestled in a cliff on the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula, the Flamanville Nuclear Power Plant is a high-tech site. Nearly 800 EDF employees and more than 400 employees of partner companies work there to produce electricity day and night in complete safety and security.
The Espace Odyssélec at Flamanville features a scenography dedicated to electricity generation and nuclear energy. Through models and educational and entertaining activities, the Espace Odyssélec presents the operation of the power plant and the EPR reactor, the history of energy, the different modes of electricity production, renewable energies, environmental monitoring and nuclear professions.
A belvedere offers a panoramic view of the production site.
