A Renaissance château built of blue schist, restored at the end of the 19th century by René de Tocqueville, who also created the landscaped park that surrounds it, with a rotunda greenhouse and water features.
The 18-hectare estate, owned by the city of Cherbourg since 1935 and classified as a Historic Monument in 1996, is the perfect setting for a stroll or a leisurely stroll.
An ideal place for strolling and discovering gardens and natural areas, the park has been awarded the Jardin Remarquable label since 2004.
