Memorial to General Patton and his US Third Army.
Arriving secretly on July 06, 1944, it was under this apple orchard that General Patton prepared Operation COBRA - the Avranches Breakthrough - before being appointed head of the US 3rd Army.
The Souvenir du Général PATTON association, founded in 1988 on the initiative of Jean-Baptiste TYSON, perpetuates the memory of the presence of General PATTON's armed troops at NEHOU. Since then, presidents and members have followed one another with passion to ensure the association's continuity, in collaboration with Helen Patton.
