Day 1
The Val de Saire, picturesque and authenticDeparture to Tatihou
Departure from Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue aboard an amphibious boat, which ensures the island remains accessible regardless of the tides. The crossing provides a panoramic view of Saint-Vaast fishing port, the island and the harbour mouth, marked by two Vauban towers, which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Upon arrival, groups can enjoy a guided tour of Tatihou Island and the Maritime Museum, then a walk with an expert guide along the island’s paths to find out about its unique biodiversity.
Lunch on the island
Visit to the oyster farmer
A visit to the oyster beds with an oyster farmer, then a tasting session. Visitors will learn all about oyster farming, including cultivation techniques, reproduction, harvesting and the importance of this activity for the territory.
Return to the mainland at the end of the day on the amphibious boat.
