Summer or winter, Granville is a vibrant destination. Its seafront offers a wide range of activities and landscapes. Meanwhile, the old town is full of charm, with its ramparts, cobbled streets and grand townhouses. You'll also find museums, boutiques and restaurants there. So be sure to recommend this destination to your clients by contacting the tourist office.

Destination Granville

The old town, perched on its rocky promontory, looks out over the sea and the biggest port in the south of La Manche. Granville has a renowned fishing port, but also a marina, from which visitors can sail to the Channel Islands and Chausey.

There are lots of different activities on offer: watersports, finding out about fishing and salmon processing, observing local wildlife and plants, and much more. Alternatively, if you’re interested in thalassotherapy, the nearby centre welcomes guests for a day or more.

Granville Carnival

Throughout the year, Granville Terre et Mer is shaped by the tides and the big events! Granville Carnival, a true institution and listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, has been filling the town with festivities every February for over 150 years!

More than 130 000 revellers parade through the streets during this five-day celebration. With the Bal à Papa ball, the confetti battle, procession and floats, this is an unmissable event in Granville!
