How to get to La Manche

La Manche is a department located in the westernmost part of Normandy, adjacent to Calvados and Brittany. Stretching approximately 150 km in length and 50 km in width, it is an elongated department with Saint-Lô serving as its administrative centre.

From Mont Saint-Michel to the D-Day beaches (Utah Beach), via Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, this territory is surrounded by the sea.

By road

La Manche is served by two motorways:  

  • The A13 from Paris
  • The A84 connecting to the west of France

By train

By boat
